Oat Groat Porridge

This is great on a nippy winter day.  Try experimenting with buckwheat and other grains as well as other fruit.  Makes 2 servings.

2 cups oat groats, soaked in water overnight and drained
1 apple, cored
6 dates, pitted and soaked in water for 20 minutes
Seeds from 1/2 vanilla bean
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 cup raisins
1 banana, sliced

1.   Put the oats, apple, vanilla seeds, and cinnamon in a food processor. Process until smooth.  If necessary, add a tablespoon or so of water, but the mixture should be very thick.

2. Divide between 2 bowls and stir in the raisins and banana. Serve immediately.
