16- 24 oz. vegetable or chicken broth
3 Tbs. ground ginger
½ medium onion
3-5 garlic gloves
½ tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp sea salt
Simmer together for 1-2 hours. Blend (optional)
The amounts listed here are approximate and can be adjusted for taste. The idea is to make a soup that is as strong-flavored as you can tolerate, and drink it for the first 3 or 4 days of a cold. It definitely keeps things running and moving out.
Drink for 3-5 days during a bad cold.
