Chia Porridge with Fruit and Nuts

Chia seeds help to control hunger and keep you feeling full.  They also provide very healthy nutrients, such as omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants.

(Yield: 1 serving)

¼ cup (25 g) ground chia seeds
1 cup (235 ml) almond or flax milk
¼ cup (45 g) sliced strawberries
1 Tbs. agave nectar or coconut syrup
¼ cup sliced strawberries
¼ cup chopped dates
¼ cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Soak the chia in the almond or flax milk for 30 minutes or overnight.  Stir in the agave or coconut syrup and adjust to taste.  Top with the berries, dates, and nuts.  Store leftovers in a covered container in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 days.
